These turners are driven from the PTO of the tractor and have a forward speed of up to 330 m hour. With a large windrow of 1.5m high and 3m wide this is a capacity of more than 800 m3 per hour.6400 m3 per 8-hour shift. This equates to a theoretical maximum of about 50 000m3 per machine per year.
Should capacity become a problem then the use of shift work can greatly increase the output of a compost site, but the turner is seldom the restrictive element, rather the supply of raw material and other variables will slow things down.
Local production means that spares and mechanical assistance are available at short notice.
The standard unit is only suitable for use with tractors with a creeper or crawler (ultra low speed) gear.
The unit with an extra gearbox and running gear that uses the PTO for forward power whilst the tractor remains in neutral and thus can use 75hp.
